Focus on getting value for money. For example, prepare coffee at home instead of drinking it outside. A cup of coffee at home costs about 20 cts compared to $1.40 at most kopi tiams. And if you drink coffee at Ya Jun, it's even more expensive. Starbucks? Haven't been there in years. Bubble teas are also much too expensive.

Cooking at home and hunting discounts bento. Rarely going out also helps. I prefer stay at home, watch yutub or ntflix. Cafe hopping and dine out is luxury, just do it once a month.
