Is dental braces treatment expensive?

I have a somewhat crooked teeth at the lower jaw. Not really a big deal, but it's THERE!

I want to wear braces but my friend warn me that it could get expensive. How much I need to prepare?

From my friend's experience, prepare at least double the amount of what you need to pay for the braces alone. You must also consider the monthly checkup to the dentist.

Correct. Maybe 3-4 times more than the estimate because you won't know if your teeth would have any complications. Usually they need to prep your teeth (like pulling some teeth, cleaning, etc) before braces can be installed

As someone who had braces in the past, I can attest this answer.

I spent about $2500 just for getting the braces on. It was supposed to be just $1500.
