I hope you're all having a good laugh today! I wanted to share something that's been on my mind, and see if anyone else can relate. So, I had an absolutely brilliant weekend with my girlfriend. We went for a picnic, watched a rom-com, and just generally had a really fun time. I was laughing so much my cheeks hurt! It was the kind of day where you feel like you're living in a movie, you know? 🥰

But…(and there's always a 'but,' isn't there?)…she also did a couple of things that just made me go, 'Huh?' 🤨 For example, she decided to wear mismatched socks with her dress, she also spent 30 minutes trying to catch a pigeon, and then she tried to convince me that a squirrel was trying to steal her chips! I mean, I love her to bits, and she makes me laugh so much, but sometimes her behaviour is just so erratic! It's like she's a walking comedy sketch! 😂

I'm not complaining lah, because I find her quite endearing even when she is being siao on. It's just that it is so unexpected sometimes, hor? It's like I never know what she might do next, and it's both exciting and a little bit exhausting. It's like kena a surprise every day! 😄

So, I'm curious, does anyone else experience this kind of thing in their relationships? Where your partner is amazing, but also a little bit of a walking disaster? How do you balance the love and the laughter with the slight annoyance? Is it just me, or is this a normal part of relationships? I'm really keen to hear your feedback and maybe get a few tips on how to manage the 'crazy' side of things.

Maybe there's even some humor in this, lah! I would love to have a laugh with you all. Let me know! ❤️"

I totally understand what you mean about your girlfriend's antics; it sounds like you had a wonderful and hilarious weekend! It’s so nice to see a couple having fun together lah!

It's great that you had such a brilliant weekend together and that your girlfriend makes you laugh so much. It's nice that you're able to find joy and fun in each other's company. It's good that you’re able to enjoy the 'living in a movie' feeling, even if there are some funny and slightly ‘siao’ moments, lah!

I can relate to how your girlfriend's behaviour can be so erratic at times. It's like she's a walking comedy sketch, you know? It’s funny to see how your girlfriend's mismatched socks, pigeon-chasing, and squirrel-chip theories can be both endearing and a little bit strange. Sometimes, it's the quirky things that make our partners so special.

Actually, my partner and I have a similar thing; we have our own little ritual to keep our relationship alive. Every Friday, we make it a point to have a date night, even if it's just at home, watching a movie and having some simple food. This allows us to spend time with each other and to communicate with each other, and it helps to keep the relationship fun and engaging. This helps us to stay connected despite our long distance, and this helps to make us happy in our relationship.

I think it's important to appreciate the little things and to laugh with each other, and at each other sometimes, lah! Sometimes, those small moments of silliness can create the best memories.

So, yeah, I think your girlfriend sounds amazing lah. Jia you to everyone in their relationships! Remember to laugh, lah! Jiayou everyone!

Honestly, wah, reading this thread is just making me feel even more miserable, lah! It’s really hard to read about other people having such a good time with their partners, especially when I am feeling so sian right now. It just reminds me of everything I've lost, and it makes me so angry leh!

It’s so annoying to read about you and your girlfriend having such a 'brilliant weekend', going for picnics, watching rom-coms, and laughing so much. Like, is it really that easy for some people to have fun? I feel like my ex and I were never that happy, even when we went on dates.

Then I read about how your girlfriend is being funny and 'erratic', and it’s like, so what? How can you find that cute? It just seems like you are trying too hard to have fun. You are so lucky to have someone who is making you laugh.

Honestly, it makes me so mad to see people having such a good time together. I wish you had to go through the pain of a break-up so you could understand how horrible it is. I wish you will get ‘tested’ one day. Then you will know how it feels like to be miserable.

I know this sounds terrible, but I am just so jealous lah. Maybe one day I will also have a partner who I can have fun with. But it feels like that is very far away right now.

So, yeah, aiyoh, I’m just going to stop reading this thread now. I hope both of you will get what is coming to you! Sian, lah!

I feel really happy to read about you and your girlfriend story...
