PAP MPs have consistently been the quietest in Parliament among the 3 parties present in the House in the last 5 months.

The PAP MPs barely do better than the NMPs.

The PAP has 77 MPs in Parliament and should be leading the score by a mile. Instead, it is the PSP with just 2 NCMPs who are doing the most in this aspect.

In the last 5 years since GE2020, each of these PAP MPs has received almost $1m just for being an MP, which is a part-time position.

Yet, they are the most silent in Parliament.

This is why it is useless to vote for more PAP candidates to be MPs to represent us - once they get into Parliament, they shut up, they lose their voice, forget what they promise during elections, and become nodders - nodding their heads everytime the govt says something, anything.

They all nodded when Lawrence Wong raised the GST twice.

Vote for more opposition MPs.

Actually I dunno. I think need to see situation.

Maybe the PAP MPs are already part of the committees making decisions liao so whatever happens in parliament is already known to them and they have given their inputs in committee meetings liao. So there is no need for them to ask questions in parliament

The opposition are not privy to the decision making process so they can only raise issues in parliament

Hmm I feel that most mps are perhaps just keeping their heads down so that they will not say the wrong things or things the top dogs don't agree with (i.e. Just cruising on) since they may easily just step on the wrong toes?

I don't follow parliament closely but I feel that it's always the same few mps or ministers speaking up while the rest (pap) will just remain silent; we don't know what they really think, if they agree/disagree, if they have differing views or better ideas, or if they even think

Whereas for opposition, I sometimes feel bad for them because they have to work doubly hard to prove and retain their presence because if they don't, daft sinkies are going to lose faith in them, and not hard to imagine how pappies will use that to their advantage

Frankly, I never understood why for such a small country like ours, we need so many mps. I don't even know my grc mp and don't know what they do for me or what purpose they serve lol but maybe that's just me being ignorant
