TikTok has become a major news source for many in the United States, especially younger users. However, concerns about misinformation persist, as the platform’s algorithm can spread unverified content easily.
Fixing this problem is complicated and might take time, with solutions requiring technology, regulation, and changes in user habits.

What do you think? Can these issues be resolved quickly, or is it a long-term challenge?

TikTok is just like Facebook in the early days but maybe TikTok is even worse when it comes to misinformation. They do little to nothing to stop misinformation and propaganda. That's probably the reason of why some people especially from YouTube dislike TikTok so much.

You can learn many things on Tiktok! Just make sure you verify, verify, verify. For instance, I learned that a natural sweetener, XYLITOL, is actually very good for dental health.

Good for you. Unfortunately, most people don't do their due diligence. I've seen many dangerous info and trends circulating in TikTok and they are very slow to respond.
