Can someone tell me how to get rid of pain quickly?
I just caught my girlfriend cheating on me with her best friend's boyfriend. We've been in a relationship for 7 years, the last 2 years we've been in a long distance relationship, unfortunately it seems like I'm the only one who feels that way, because when I asked my girlfriend about our relationship, she replied “I think of you as my brother."

I'm sorry to hear your story, healing from heartbreak can feel overwhelming, but it is definitely possible..
it’s important to give yourself permission to feel sad, angry, frustrated, or confused. Emotions are a natural part of healing, so don’t rush the process. Sometimes, just getting your emotions out of your head can create some relief..
Hope this can helping you to get rid your pain..

Hi, I hope you'll get better.
I think it would be best if you find a hobby that can make you forget about the past for a while, until you're ready to face it.

I tried it before but the memory of my ex always comes back to me

It takes time brother. Even with the best healing, it will still take time.
How are you in your other communities? Family, faith/religion, workplace/school, former school buddies, army buddies? Anyone that you are comfortable with sharing your relationship issues and the listening party is always willing to listen?

Keep sharing man, even in here. Dunno how it works, but being able to air your true thoughts in a safe setting is part of your healing. Your feelings/emotions don't rule your life, so don't follow your emotions into a negative spiral every day (but some days you allow yourself to do a bit of that). Emotions are a barometer; just like pain receptors, they tell you that there's something wrong, something not yet healed, something that may need manual intervention from others (like a nurse or para dressing a wound properly). Once the wound is dressed properly, and starts healing, the pain will gradually decrease to nothing. Don't withdraw from others, you need them now. If you're a Christian, then this is also definitely the period to encounter Jesus and let Him have your pain.

One way to think of it is that you dodged a bullet. It seems worse to me if the cheating takes place within a marriage, and even when there's kids. Cheating shows horrible disrespect for the other party and for the commitment of the mutual party. It's increasingly common nowadays for exclusivity to mean nothing to many people, married or not. There ARE many women around who want commitment, who want exclusivity. They may not be as pretty, witty, or good in bed*, etc, but they want to be with someone exclusively for life. I believe you'll be able to find such a decent woman for yourself.

I don't believe in "test driving". Sex is supposed to be something unique between a married couple, part of the discovery process of a marriage, knowing that whatever between one's legs is reserved only for one's life partner as long as he or she is still alive. Of course we humans aren't perfect and mess up, and there's no need to beat ourselves up over past mistakes, just re-commit and move on.

As they say, no pain no gain... but I hope you can get rid of the pain you're feeling right now as soon as possible.

Perspectives.
I like to frame my misfortunes in a positive way.
If your GF cheats on you, you should think "I am glad it happened sooner than later, and I dodged a bullet!"
Imagine if both of you gets married/have kids and she cheats on you later, you will have to go through a costly and messy divorce.
So you are actually saved from massive financial losses and get a chance to meet a better girl now!

Oof,

That's hurt.

I don't know much about pain, but I know that it will heal over time.

Try doing powerlift. It doesn't remove the pain, it just moves the pain from your mind to your muscle which is still painful but more productive

A wise old man once told me the easiest way to forget a woman is to be in the arms of another woman :D
