Mom won custody of me
I am supposed to see her everyday at home
But that didnt happen
She is always out gambling mj or with a bf
I dont even rem eating a dinner once with my mom post divorce
Dad tried to stay in contact
Fetched me for tuition near his place
There was nothing much to talk
After a year or so, he stopped
I was unloved
This is what shaped me in my adult life
To find the meaning of happiness
To find the meaning of life
To find love and to build a family
Money did not interest me

You have a beautiful family, with a strict dad, am I right?

Thanks for sharing, we can't choose our parents, but at least we can learn from experience and don't make the same mistakes our parents did. I hope your experience made you a better husband and father.

Yes, I can relate to that. It is tough growing up with divorced parents, but I think resilience is the key. And at least you probably want to try to talk to a therapist about the situations and you might be able to develop stronger coping skills than others.

Anyway, best of luck for you.

Ya, I had to spring clean and host 40 pax. Glad it is all over now. Great that you recovered!

Wah your house so big can host so many ppl? 😂

I also had to help out at home. No hosting though; just that have a lot of homes to visit haha but by now visited most.

Asked kids to help pack house! Lol. Guests come please entertain. Dun hide in room. Very simple tasks right?

Maid cook. i run to NTUC back and forth haha. This is the only thing i know how to do haha. All relatives. Friends all busy wor. No friend. Sigh. You want to be my friend?
