My dad bangs my head with a helmet because I'm not wearing a helmet.
 
Woah, it sounds like an abuse to me. My parents did punish me but not to that degree.

How does that affect you? 😲

A lot. My dad is extremely strict at pretty much anything, so no mistake is allowed. If I ever made a mistake, well, get ready for a punishment.

I would think that was an abuse too, but I don't want to complicate the matters. I'm an adult now, he is old. I guess let's move on.
 
I don't think he deserved to be called "dad" after the way he treated you.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear your past. I hope you are doing okay now and in the future.
 
Not my parents, but my grandfather. He's treating his grandchildren with ironfist treatment. Probably because he was from the military and addicted to alcohol. One time he push me really hard because I didn't clean my feet properly after went outside.

In my defense, I was fricking 6. What did he expect?

When we have a family gathering, we know that he is the figure to avoid.
